When Do I Wear - Swelly Belly Band
One question we frequently get is: “When do I start to wear the swelly belly band?”
Many women think they need to have their swelly belly band in the hospital with them. They panic if they can’t get the band before their surgery.
No need to panic or worry.
You can order your band when you know the incision style (horizontal or vertical) and have it waiting for you when you get home.
Typically, you will not begin to wear your Swelly Belly Band until your stitches/staples have been removed and the dressing has been removed from your incision. This usually isn’t until you are 3-5 days post-op. The cold compression against your wound brings healing and feels great!
If you know if your incision is going to be horizontal, you can order it before surgery. If you do not know, you can order when you get home or have someone order for you while you are in the hospital. The band will be sent to your home and you will have it when you are ready for it.

I just found out about your website & the product. My surgery is 4 months passed by. My belly is still pretty swollen. Can the “swelly belly band” still help the healing or should I purchase the “abdominal support binder”?
But I have a few instances that the swellness got worse when I worn something tight or an object was tied to my belly for too long (that happened when I have the MRI exam.)
I don’t know what to do….
